My New Blog.

Hi there everyone. I have been a 'blog follower' for a while now and I wanted to join in all the fun. I have been hacking around looking at all the great craft work on display and have picked up lots of ideas and enjoyed the photo's people have shared with everyone. The little house above is my cute cottage. I lovingly share this with my three darlings. Recently a lovely white picket fence went around the front of our home and it just tops things off, the cherry on top of the cake so to speak. My husband and youngest son Cory were the construction workers, and my oldest son Brandon was the inspector. When I look at our home I already feel peace and tranquility, and it truly is.

I made the chickens below during a challenge with Bev from Kaingahappenings and both of our works turned out very differently. This was made from just bits I had in the cupboard.
At Easter I had the best time making some easter chicks and rabbits for my work mates. I added a little chocolate with each chick and rabbit, they were enjoyed by all. It is a great way to use little pieces of felt or leftover material and the only items I purchased were the chocolate eggs.

These lovely girls were a challenge I had with my friend Heather earlier on this year. Bev from Kaingahappenings set this challenge and it was lots of fun. My girl was done in red stitch work, and Heather went flat out using lots of lovely colours.

I love to knit and the baby items below have all gone to King Edward Memorial Hospital in our capital city. King Edward has a premature baby unit and I donate baby items to them. It is fascinating how small some of the items are. Anyone can donate knitted items to hospitals, but you must give them a phone call first to see what kind of things they need.
I have just purchased the latest edition of Creating Country Threads (Vol 10 No 2) and on the cover is a lovely Christmas cloth doll. She is so going to happen. I will show her when I have finished. I'm off now to see where my gang is, have the best day.

Kind regards, Anita
