Missing in action.

Very little is needed
to make a happy life.

Hello everyone!! No I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth, here I am. Thanks to all my blogging friends who sent me emails checking on my whereabouts. It’s all good, just a really busy couple of weeks. Millions of meetings, reports to write and playing catch up. I am now back to the safety zone of the sewing shed. Here is what is happening today...

My Craft Work banner for the agricultural show in the section I take care of.......
Just scrappy bits of materials stitched together.
My show entries all boxed up waiting to go.....

Love my knitted doll? She’s from Jean Greenhowe’s

collection. Fun to knit up and very cute.
A little baby sleeping sign, now that there are babies in the pipeline, this has a home already.

I have started to crochet a baby blanket using blue, pink and white colours, in 8 ply yarn. I will make as many squares as I can to make as many blankets as I can.

More nieces and nephews, more nieces and nephews!!!!

More little beaded dolls on the way.

I hope you all have had a fantastic week and I can’t wait to visit you all in blog land.

Cheers, Anita.

Keep raining!!!

Goodness is the only
investment that never fails.
-Henry David Thoreau

A happy Sunday to everyone, we’re very happy in our parts as we are having some lovely rain this morning. Our farmers need the rain desperately so we're hoping for a good lot of it. This week has been very productive for me and this is what I've been up to......I purchased some Fantasia by Patons and knitted up this cute little dress.....

'
knit one, purl one, knit one...

made a fantastic patchwork cushion and insert..

even spent some time making grannie squares...

A lovely Italian man who drops books off at the library tells me his mother has broken both of her hands in a fall and hasn't finished knitting a baby shawl for a baby due any time now. I though I would give this to her as a gift to give to the baby on her behalf. Knitted in 2 ply merino wool and silk.

A funky green hot water bottle cover knitted using 8 ply yarn. Should be great for cold winter nights.

Well really, that's about it for me. I've had a fantastic week at work, had some great news that the stork is going to deliver another baby  in December......Congratulations Jacinta. Life's pretty good you know!! I can't complain. See you next time,
Anita
