When I count my blessings

💖I count you twice 💖

Well, hello there!!!!! I’ve been a little bit busy making baby booties for our market

supplies. Heather the feather and I had a real shock when we went through our box of

baby booties and discovered we were extremely low in them.

So here is my little stash…...

To be very honest, the last couple of weeks have been busy on all fronts!!!

How many times does this happen to you....your weekend is all planned out,

usually overloaded already and suddenly something comes along and pushes

you to the limit? 😂 I said yes to someone giving away bricks. I realised later

that my husband had the vehicle with the tow ball and the trailer at home

 was full.

My friends, Chris and Neville come to the rescue with their big farm truck and

the day is saved. Turns out a trailer wouldn't have been able to tow all the bricks,

so the truck was a life saver. The total of bricks were almost 200. These are the

bricks pictured below near the trailer that would never have been able to bring

them home.

Some of the bricks have become the paving in my Greek garden and the rest will be
added to my Italian garden. Many thanks for coming to the rescue Chris and Neville.
You people are amazing.😘

Here is another pretty little poncho creation of mine. I'm thrilled to bits with how this

little piece came together. I love mixing all my leftover yarns together and making

something special and eye catching.

How amazing is this crochet edge? I have made it before however, I'm not sure what

the stitch is called. They look like little bobbles and add such a pretty touch to the

poncho.

Oh and here is Miss Poppy being naughty. My husband is on the other side of the door

doing his shoulder exercises, so Poppy decided to go around the other side to see what

is going on. She can't help herself but to investigate.

Another friend of mine will be moving away soon. Lovely Hetty(Pictured left with the

fish lips 😁) who is one of my instructors for exercising. Hetty was my instructor many

many years ago when I first joined the gym. I am happy for her because she will be

moving closer to her son but sad she will not be around here anymore. Beautiful Anna

(behind me) will also be moving on.

So my year of friends moving on continues and it feels strange. It is part of life and it is

a lesson for me. I have always appreciated my friends and the lesson is to continue to

always make friends so you have an endless supply of them. They are precious. All this

has made me wonder as I grow older....how easy will it be to find friends?

In the meantime, I am going to continue to enjoy myself, the friends I have and to keep

loving my crafts. I hope you are all going well and I send my love to everyone in Italy

who are in lock down.

Ciao, Anita.

Short Cute Sayings - Quotabulary

Good morning all you wonderful people🌻 In my little part of the world we are enjoying a long weekend, so that means I get extra time to get some jobs done. Another job I have ear marked for tonight is this circle vest. 💦😂 I decided to have a go at the pattern and once I finished it I realized that it would fit a new born baby rather than an older child.

I believe I am going to undo this work because I can't see a new born in those colours? No matter, it will turn into something else.

I really love the mixed colours, so bright and eye catching, so I imagine if I pull out the work and add to the existing circle, I could get it right to fit an older child. Not all is lost.
Now for my success story....another free pattern I found on the internet. This amazing little cotton crochet top called Chrysanthemum circular vest was such a pleasure to make. I had been gifted some beautiful soft cotton in brown tones, so it was going to turn into something stunning and it will be going to live in one of the most spectacular places on earth. Of course, there was enough to also make a matching headband.  You will have to wait. 💖

I made this pair of ear warmers due to the fact that I cannot throw away practically good bits of leftover yarn. 😁😁 It turned out way prettier in real life than the photo shows. There's actually flecks of gold and soft tones of brown as well.

Ok, so I'm out of here because I've got a date with a little man who loves Dinotrux and lego. See the eyes are glued to the tv?

Have an amazing weekend everyone. Thanks for dropping by and be happy. 😊

Ciao, Anita.

 💖No beauty shines brighter than

 that of a good heart.😊

A warm hello to you all, it is lovely that you have dropped by to visit. How was your week? For me, it was a week of accomplishments, highs, lows, expectations, insecurities, excitement and fulfillment. An event that would stand out most is having my friend, Heather the feather move away. Heather has moved to live with her amazing family, only about an hour away, so there will still be the visits and market days. 😜

So to busy myself I have been out in the garden filling up the pots that Heather the feather gifted me, filling up the pots that I also purchased on my local Buy and sell page on Facebook. I have so many pots now, no wait........I can never have too many pots. lol 😂😂😂😂

Lovely blue pots to add to my Greek corner. A dedication to Kosta.

One of my new statues in my Italian garden.

Two new seats, also part of my wild spending spree this week.

I can't decided which of my purchases I love the most because they're all so dear to me. How incredible is this statue of the girl? I've have situated her in the pool area so in the winter time when I look out the kitchen window, this will be the scenery. 💖

Not only has the garden been attacked but also my wool stash. Yes, my wool stash that Heather the feather has restocked for me. lol. When the moving trucks came, there was one little truck for her furniture but the big truck was to move all her fabric and yarn.🙊🙊🙊🙊🙊🙊

So this is what I've been up to........

Amazing score of beautiful colour! I believe this will turn into a poncho.......

I had to grab this unusual chunky yarn. It will be interesting to see how it knits up. I don't really enjoy knitting with chunky yarn but I have to admit, when I saw how this yarn was dyed, curiosity got the better of me. lol

Do you love the brightness in these colours? It was incredible to crochet with and the result pleases me. I'm making an early start to the poncho collection for the markets and the Visitors Centre in town.

I don't know if many of you have had an interest to make the circle vests but I am hooked on them. I love how they progress as you make them, I love how they have the ruffled look when they're worn, and I love the fact that there are two ends to stitch in and just one button to stitch on. 😁😁😁😁

Milo ..........what a poser!!!!! He thinks he's a king. lol

Well friends, I'm out of here. We are expecting a hot 37C today, so the garden needs a water, so do the birds. Monday and Tuesday will be hotter still, expecting 40C on both days. I send you good wishes and the hope that your week will be full of love and happiness.

Ciao, Anita.

🌻 If you change the way you

look at things, the things you

look at change🌻

It's nice to be back. 💕 2021 has had a rocky and challenging start but I hope now there will be a little calmness to it. When things have come to test me I have always loved to pick up the knitting needles, stitching needles or crochet hooks and just find my happy place. 😂

Make yourself that nice hot tea or coffee and come with me.....😊

Our markets were cancelled this weekend due to the bad weather and these little cute things were ready for sale. I have made some as an order but I thought they were so sweet that I'd make a few more. They are a free crochet pattern off the internet and one of those projects that I really enjoyed making. I'm sure you have all had that amazing experience in your time.

                             I love the legs!
Recently I've had several of those kinds of favourite projects that I've also made another couple of these little baby overalls. As suspected....no buttons stitched on them yet.

Many people have requested neutral tones in baby items, so here is another sweet top I've just completed.

This project finished last night, no buttons.....😅....is a bit of a creation. I used the instructions but added my own stitch for the body. I kept the idea of the picot edge for the neck line and sleeves because I rather like that delicate look.

I visited my local op shop and found so much yarn that I had to buy it all. I know I should've left some there but it's a 'dog eat dog world'. 👀

For my Italian friends who visit my blog...the area I live in is contending with weather brought on by a cyclone up in the north that has given us rain and wind ; a bush fire that has traveled away from us and our borders had closed again due to Covid in the city area.

So we've had a few challenges happen but soon it will be behind us. I've taken a couple of photos this morning for you. In February here, we usually have heat, flies and the air conditioner is usually on by 7am, but instead we have this........

wind, rain and cardigans. ⛅🌀⛆

So my lovely ones, I'm hoping that all has settled down for me, at least for a while and my other challenges are at bay. In all the chaos there have come a few beautiful things also. The return of a much loved niece and her children to town has been a blessing and we can rekindle a close relationship. Thank you all for your friendship via blog land and messages, I value each and everyone one of you. Ciao, Anita.😘

Hope is the only thing stronger than fear. Buongiorno a tutti!!! Good morning everyone!!! How are you all going? How am I going?....👩👌👍....I'm going really great and, today it is going to be 10C cooler than yesterday. 😂 The weather forecast is only going to be 34C instead of the 43C we had yesterday. No I didn't melt, incredibly. lol

It is with much joy to announce that I eventually finished Mickey and Minnie mouse. It was one of those projects that came to test my patience and skill. When I was asked to make them, I was happy to do so because I already had a pattern for them. No problems right? The customer wanted them to be about 10 inches in height. My pattern were for 18inch dolls. But now they are done.

For a little relaxation I've made this cute little baby top in a cotton yarn. I did love making this. It was easy to make, the yarn was amazing to crochet with and I enjoyed how relaxing it felt to make something I wanted to make. lol

This week I went to the op shop and couldn't believe my luck when I came across all this wonderful yarn. I purchase both packs. I am going to have fun with this and I love the colour.
My poor passion fruit bush is struggling in this heat. I have now covered it so the sun doesn't get to it more than need be.
Don't be fooled....I know Milo looks like he's suffering but he's just an actor. He's just having a good old rub on the lawn.
What a beautiful boy he is.
This week was mostly a catch up with friends time, meeting up at the local cafe's and conversations of the pleasant kind. Catching up with friends is always a nice thing and they always make me laugh. All too soon it will be time to return to work.

It's time to take off and do those chores that are so faithful and wait for me. lol Wishing you all a wonderful week and stay happy.

Ciao, Anita.
