I love you not only for what you are,
but for what I am when I am with you.
Good morning beautiful Friends! I hope happiness has been following you every step you take. Today in Australia we are celebrating Father's Day and also for me is the day my Mother passed away many years ago and it is the first day of Spring. Amazingly, the first day of Spring brought happiness to my Mother, so if we look for positives, and strange as it will sound...she would be pretty happy about that.

This week was a fairly nice week for me, an awesome rediscovery of some family photos that had been carefully packed away  in a 'safe place'. 😂 We all know that place. The two photos in front are that of my Zia (Aunt) Pina, who unfortunately I have never met, but did talk to on the phone once. The second photo is of Zia Pina with her two sons Georgio and Gavino. I did not realise it but Gavino and I were born in the same year. Where they are now I do not know but I hope they are surrounded by love and happiness.
I have little to show you in the way of my craft works, but I can show you my little knitted snail I have made. I fell in love with him as soon as I saw the pattern. He is knitted in 8 ply yarns, with felt eyes. He does not live in the garden by the way.
Speaking of the garden, I was pleasantly surprised to see these little pink flowers had popped up. I had been waiting for them for a while. They were tiny little cuttings that were taking their merry little time to grow.

And here......the menace of all menaces......Milo.....He has taken to stalking now. Poor thing has scratched his left eye lid. I'm guessing he was chasing birds out of the yard again and didn't stop in time. Oh and by the way, $1000 dollars later...we have finally replaced all the outside patio blinds that  Milo chewed up when he was a young pup!!!!

I have been dabbling with different crochet flower patterns and found a couple of lovely ones on the Internet. Gosh I love Pinterest!!!! Not only are these two patterns my favourites but also my favourite colours.

My last project to show you is this cute cable woolly hat, another free pattern on the Internet. It is made in a soft chunky yarn and was so nice to make. It is done using larger needles and I can't tell you how soft it is. It's amazing.
Now, I leave you all to go and finish my jobs. I should really say to start them. I cooked my husband a great big breakfast this morning because it is Father's Day, I'm still in my pyjamas and it is almost 10am...at least I have brushed my teeth.😅😅 Enjoy your beautiful day and may it be filled with happiness.💞

Ciao, Anita.

It is lovely to see Spring arriving in the garden. I am enjoying some warmer days too. Hope we have had the end of the really cold stuff.
Love the snail. So cute. And lovely work with the hat and the flowers. How long until the show?
Hope you have a great week.

Buongiorno Anita, vorrei essere lì in Australia per rivivere la primavera, da noi fra venti giorni sarà autunno. Buona settimana e buona festa del papà a tuo marito.

Dear Anita, I also live in Australia and today, Fathers Day is the anniversary of my father's death. I always feel sad on Fathers Day. I am looking forward to a little more warmth in the weather. Robyn
