Friday Night with Friends.

Friday Night with Friends
Hello, I’ve been itching to make this girl for a while and thought she would make a great project for Friday Night with Friends. I found this cute little girl in a magazine called Holiday crafts to make No.1.  Anita also comes with a Pins and needles case you can make, but I'm pretty happy with just her. She was made to take to sewing group as a name tag and she is cute. Measuring at about 3 inches x 3 inches.
Cute brooch

While I was on a roll last night I also finished this TV blanket I was making for the kids. It's turned out really nice and just the right size. I went to spotlight and found this funky bright fluro green so I had to have a ball of it.

TV blanket
Not the softest yarn but not too scratchy either. A good dose of fabric softner will add a nice touch to it.
She’s bright!!
Well I'm off to see what everyone else made for Friday Night with Friends. I enjoyed their projects last time and can't wait to see what they've made this round.
Cheers, Anita.

Love the brooch Anita. My Mum used to make those rugs. They were so useful to throw over your legs. Hugs....

Lovely brooch! your crochet rug is so pretty - my crochet skills only went as far as making single chain Barbie Doll belts as I used to call them!!

Your Anita is beautiful, Anita :-) love your crocheted rug, it's lovely and colorful. I have been inspired by FNwF and FNSI to start doing more sewing again...and also the swaps I 've signed up for, has got me stitching again too! With the floods in Qld though, I know there will be a demand for quilts and knitted and crocheted blankets in the cooler months just like after the floods and cyclone Yasi in 2011. So many people end up having to live in tents and caravans which get a bit cold. So I'm trying to get some extra ones done now ready for winter.
PS love that bright green :-)

Oh my GOODNESS, Anita - that's exactly how I pictured you - right down to the heart shaped lips --- WOW!!! Love your curly hair - I'm partial to curls :D You're a bit shorter and skinnier than I imagined though! ;)

Nice throw - it looks very cuddly!

That TV blanket looks really warm and cozy. You mention stopping at spotlight to pick up your yarn. Is that a store?

The name tag is very cute! The Thorobred will soften a bit with washing and I've heard a tumble in the dryer does wonders!
