Silence speaks when words cannot

Hello dear friends, a good Sunday to you all. Today I greet you with a mix of happiness but also respect. Remembrance day is observed for those who have died in the line of duty. Red poppies are a symbol of Remembrance Day but also there is a purple poppy as a symbol to remember the animals who died in the line of duty also. To them all....I pay respect.

This week I have been up to some mischief, but I cannot tell you why right now. I will share with you in about 3 weeks time. But I am so excited about this little unicorn 🦄woolly hat that I made. I have to tell you......I'm loving this crocheting!!! The hat has little ear flaps, a horn, flowers, leaves and little twirly attachments. Oh....and ears too!

I really enjoyed (and giggled) my way through this sweet project. It was heaps of fun to make. It is for someone in particular. I cannot tell you yet though, but I will....in about three weeks.😂😂
It is such an explosion of colour.
I have made a start on more Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle hats as well. This particular hat is meant for someone....it is a secret though. I can tell you who it is for....in about....three weeks. 😂😂
I have posted the gifts, and they're going somewhere special.

Heather the feather.

I thought I would share something of Heather's with you all. I always tease talk about Heather and how cheeky she is. Ooppps! How do you like her Christmas tree? It was given to her from a friend. It is a fabric tree and each of the circles is made from recycled milk lids, stuffed with wadding and covered with Christmas fabric. It is really cool!

Another cute turtle hat made smaller and in a different mask colour.
I'm over the moon about my tomato plant. I already have some fruit growing. I just hope Milo doesn't notice it.
The rage at the moment, in my part of the woods is the comeback of the jug cover. I have been asked by so many people now if I can make some jug covers. I have found an incredibly easy pattern using 27 beads. Both of these covers are made using the same pattern but different yarn of cotton.
If you would like the pattern for this jug cover, click here.
I had to show you a photo of this "vulture"....dog. 🐾🐾🐾 Milo has decided that I need help walking around the garden. lol   🐾🐾🐾

My strawberry crop.

I have a certain stubborn streak that runs through my veins. I have struggled to grow anything in this hanging basket and if it was the last thing I was going to do...it was to get something to grow in it. Of course....only the pelargonium could survive. How pretty she is.
So now I bid you farewell and wish you all a beautiful week ahead. I take this time to send love and hugs to my Italian friends and hope that the severe weather that has hit the country has eased up. 💕💕
Ciao, Anita.

You have been busy Anita - pelargoniums and geraniums are the best standby for those hard areas!

How lovely to visit you on this Remembrance Day, Anita. As always your crochet pretties have put a wide, wide smile in my day. The unicorn is fabulous....how on earth did you fashion it?? Your garden is switching into gear. You have tomatoes and strawberries fruiting. Down here our strawberries are just thinking about whether or not they will gift us berries. Enjoy a great, great week, lovely lady.

Happy crocheting, growing, teasing and being the best. Thinking of all those who have lost their lives today. I did not know about purple poppies and their significance.

You have been creating some amazing hats. I think those unicorn hats would sell like hotcakes at the market. i love all the colour in them.
Good to see your garden flourishing. Keep Milo away from the crop. Our dogs were well known for picking ripe cherries off our trees.

I love your projects. I am familiar with the two hat patterns and think they are so very cute. That unicorn is a lot of work time you do all of the little parts. I need to reconsider the turtle - you made it look very special.

I love Heather's fabric tree. I have not seen anything like that before and like the idea of the recycled lids. How nice to find a purpose for something that would just be wasted. It looks very elegant the way it is done up.

you are so very gifted. I always treasure your projects.

the unicorn hat is cute and colorful!! So much work in assembling it I bet. I just did a little hat for a toddler and attached four icords to the top with tassels. I loved how it came out :)
