New Life

All life is an experiment.
The more experiments you make, the better.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Look what we have!
The chick is so cute and fluffy. We don't have many bantam chooks, so this is a pleasant addition to the crew. Since this photo another chick has hatched from another chook. So we have two and are waiting for the others to arrive. I hope they are all girl chicks!!

I was given a magazine from darling Heather the other day and spotted a wonderful robot pattern that I simply had to make.

I really love the eyes, they get me. And how about the buttons and control board on his
stomach!! The coloured dots are made from felt, and the panel itself is a piece of black
material.

If you check out the coloured material on the arms and legs, you may be able to
see that the print is actually robots. And even funnier still, this material is from the
bag of goodies that Ruth gave me just recently. Isn't that the funniest thing.
I got the pattern from the magazine above (Vol 11. No. 4).

And on the knitting front, I have been very busy as well. I have just gone banana's with knitting
and can't stop. I have some pics of my creations.
A couple of unstitched tea cosies that will be stitched up this weekend.
The colour of the pink cosy hasn't come out as nice as it really is. To make these tea cosies, you have to
make 2 of each and then sew them together. When I have finished them I will show it on
my next posting.

To use up some leftover wool, I made a child's beanie in stocking stitch and single rib. Even more
of the same wool was left over, so I have started knitting a small shoulder bag.
Today I went for a trip to the local library and what do you know, waiting for me is a book
I had ordered in....knitted bags! I also ordered in another knitting book and have tucked
them both under my armpits and run home with them.

This weekend will be busy for us, but at some stage I will be getting into the garden and checking
on my chicks. They don't have names yet, but I imagine they soon will have. Have a terrific
weekend doing whatever makes you happy.
Kind regards, Anita.

Oh the robot doll is adorable. But really what I'm really loving is the hen and her chick! Oh how adorable!

Looks like you have been keeping busy! The robot is so cute, and your knitting looks great. Such an adorable little chick too. Makes me think of when my family raised chickens for a while...it was quite the adventure! Hope you have a great week!!

Enjoy your knitting books. I really should learn how to do that. I love your robot by the way. He makes me smile.
