The Show is over.....
Buon
giorno my friends! Finally I am returning to normal. No more missing posts each
week, no more mystery and small sneak peaks of things I have made in the last
few months....the show is over for the year and now I can show you some of my
works.
This
weekend we had our annual Farmer's Show which was exciting and challenging all
at the same time.
It was a struggle for both Heather the feather and myself to
get entries in especially now that we attend the markets and also sell our
goods at the local Tourist Centre. Speaking for myself, I didn't present the
best entries that I am capable of but at the same time I had to present
something to help make the show a success.
Come
with me as I show you a few of my entries and also Heather the feather's
work....
Here I entered my cloth doll and also a koala and Heather had her cute grey and white knitted cat.
In the cushion section, I had a win with my crocheted cushion. I was surprised that the applique cushion did not take the first prize but I pretty much love this cushion.
Heather's cute cloud cushion. On the back is a sad face that she had stitched also.
This is where Heather and I had a bit of a competition between ourselves. The Dog coat section only had our entries in it, so the fight was on 😂😂 My coat was sewn while Heather decided to knit hers. It was fun.
🐶
I loved the pattern on my knitted jacket but I didn't have much knitting entered this year.
This will end up being my cardigan for next year.
The bright coloured crochet top with flower, the teddy bear vest and woolly hat and the purple toned vest are all from me. I had a good win in the crochet section. My nemesis .....the scarf section. Heather the feather usually 'flogs' me at this section but alas....we both dipped out this year. The first place card says my name but it is not my work. There was a mistake made when the cards were printed. The winning scarf actually belongs to another great friend of ours, lovely Chris. Congratulations Chris, it was a beautiful scarf....and it was a pleasure to take the credit 😂😂🌞
Every year we also select a Rural Ambassador for our show and this year our representative was the lovely Laura. You may remember her beautiful face from a previous post of mine. We go to the gym together and I have known Laura for several years now. She is one of those rare people you meet that is so pretty to look at yet is even more beauty inside her. The little lamb is a bit naughty...look at that tongue!😄😄
Well look what we have here now.....young Neville
So
my friends I leave you now because it is time for me to go back to the
show grounds to do the clean up. I wish you all a beautiful Sunday and
may you be healthy and happy.
Ciao, Anita.

Oh you will be breathing a huge sigh of relief it is over for another year Anita. I love ALL your creations but my favourite would have to be that tea cosy!! It is gorgeous! All your crochet is really rather gorgeous. That photo of Neville did make me laugh. Have a great week.
Oh wow, so many gorgeous pretties to look and here. Congratulations to you both on all those prizes. You must have needed a wheel barrow to take all the prizes home. =) You truly do make the prettiest of crochet lovelies. Have a fabulous week, lovely Anita.
A delight to see all your wonderful work and of course Heather's, too.
You are right that it is important to support the local shows. We don't want to see them disappear.
Congratulations on doing so well. Love seeing all that you made.
Wonderful entries Anita, congrats on all the wonderful ribbons you won.
Congratulations Anita and please on the some to Heather the Feather from me.....
You both entered lots of beautiful articles.
I think the only way others can win next year is if you don't enter🤣...
Hmm! was the lamb call "Anita" ????
Ciao Anita, è sempre bello passare da te.
