Work hard in silence,
let success make the noise.
Good morning all you lovely girls out there! I had a lovely sleep in today so I'm a little bit late at blogging today. We have beautiful weather to look forward to today with a nice 28C expected so I'm planning to use the lovely weather to my advantage.
Here are some beauties of Italy....bella Federica and bella Elisa. They were both presented with a school top each before they leave us. I believe they don't have uniforms for schools in Italy, so for the girls it was quite a novelty.
They have beauty, youth and intelligence.....
......a quick rest before they start work. lol
Lol.....er.....still resting. π
....and a little play.
My lovely week was consumed with much time spent looking for a slouch hat pattern and finally I found the right one. There are so many free patterns out there that surely it shouldn't have taken me long to find one. But no....it took a fair while. I did come across many out there that I liked but they were all patterns you had to pay for. I very much like the slouch hats or woolly hats (beanies) that have the bands around them and then the body of the hat. This one is a surprise gift so I can not say who it is for just yet. A lovely niece of mine has ordered four slouch hats in tones of pink, so this is the start of them. I have decided to do them on circular needles so there will be no stitching but for the start and end thread I just have to sew in when I finish each one.
Actually, while I was taking the photographs outside this morning I could hear a pigeon somewhere up the in tree. I did a quick scan but could not see it, I kept hearing it so I kept looking for it. Here we are...way up in the tree. He's probably wondering what I am.
Following close behind is this little rascal Milo. He seemed very interested in the lemon fragrance of this bush. I wonder what he is thinking....I was hoping he wasn't thinking about digging the bush up.
I'm about to head off to the shops shortly so for now I will sign off. Have a good Sunday and as always I wish you happiness and I send that wish across the ocean to my lovely Italian friends.
Ciao, Anita.

Takes me ages to select a pattern too, it has to look good but also I want to enjoy the knitting process so it has to be interesting and slightly challenging. The hats look great and I'm all in favour of something that doesn't need stitching up.
I know you will be sad to see those lovely girls go back home. Wishing you a wonderful week.
You will miss your young Italian friends but I think it's time they went home as some your antics are rubbing off on them, like sleeping on the tablet...LOL.
Nice colour your slouch beanie is and the pinks ones will look great too.
Hmm hope Milo hasn't dug up your bush...
Slouch hats are really popular here in the US. I'm glad that it's finally cooling down for you.
It's always harder to find patterns when you have a picture in your head of what you want :) have a great week
Tutto bellissimo qui, cara Anita! Le ragazze italiane, i berretti, il piccione e Milo, davvero un tenero cagnolone.
Un abbraccio, Laura
Isn't it lovely to enjoy the milder weather? Such a lovely change.
Well done hunting down your hat pattern and jumping right in. I can imagine how great the pink ones will look.
Is the plant still in the ground?
I love the saying at the top of the post - that is so beautiful . Also your young friends are beautiful - they are so lucky to have got to spend time with you! They will take that memory with them always. Love that color pink! That pup is precious!
