To a child,
Love is spelled
T-I-M-E
Hello,
I know I am late with FNwF’s but I’ve had some problems loading the photo’s
from my camera, so I’ve swiped hubby’s camera. On Friday night I made myself all comfy and did a long stint of knitting. I am making a baby shawl to raffle off and I'm really enjoying the pattern but it's not one you can drag around with you.
Very dainty
The pattern is from one of my favourite books, it's Heather's book actually and she has kindly let me use it. It is an oldie but goodie. My boys are back from South Australia and I'm happy to say all safe and sound. Out of a field of 25 kart racers, Cory came in 9th and is very happy with himself and he should be. A great experience for Cory and for my hubby Pixie, and much special time spent together. We have all been hanging around closely to each other since they have returned, we're a bit like a gang really.
We are now getting the final touches done for our trip to Italy and all is falling into place nicely. I'm off now to visit other FNwF's to see what they got up to on Friday night. Enjoy this most glorious Sunday, we are having such gorgeous weather.
Cheers, Anita.

Lovely pattern in that shawl. I also have quite a few of my old knitting books. They come in very handy!
Good luck with the trip planning and enjoy the lovely weather while you can.
That is a pretty pattern, and so delicate being four ply.
It looks so delicate. Just beautiful. You must be excited about the trip.
beautiful shawl, so much delicate knitting. nothing wrong with the classic pattern books.
your trip will be wonderful
Beautiful
Hope all is going well with your trip preparations
That is a beautiful shawl Anita. Sounds like you have a special family. Italy - very exciting! xx
What a beautiful shawl you are knitting anita..
Yes the old knitting books are great..
It sounds like the boys had a great time! The shawl is going to be lovely - every baby should have something handmade! Glad to hear the trip planning is coming along nicely - I think going to Italy would be the trip of a lifetime! Hubby's family is from there, although he was born here in Canada. One of these days we'll get there together :)
Oh my, the shawl is going to be beautiful when finished.
That's such a beautiful delicate shawl, sometimes the older knitting books have the best patterns in them.

I have that book too! Well I think I do as I can remember my mother knitting those fair-else jumpers for my brother and I. Its a gorgeous stitch and looks very modern for todays style. Enjoy your knitting and I am glad the boys are back too.
How exciting. Well done Cory. When do you leave for Italy and how long will you be gone?
Oooo, I love the swish new blog-look Anita!
Such a pretty pattern, looks tricky, no wonder it's not a portable one! x
