Happy Easter

Life is to be fortified by many friendships. To love and
to be loved is the greatest happiness of existence.
Sydney Smith.
One of my most favourite times of the year is upon us. Easter. I think of the true meaning itself, a time to share with my three darlings and the family I am close to and the spoils of easter gifts. Today at noon, I officially started my school holidays, but have not stopped all day.

I went home at lunchtime, and shared that time with Pixie and Brandon. Pixie is having his last day off from work and Brandon was home for lunch for his work experience. Brandon has enjoyed his two weeks at work, and that is pleasing to me. Both places were great places to be and Brandon has come away with lots of knowledge and experience from being in a work place.

In the lead up to Easter, I have knitted these lovely little creatures and they've turned out great.
There were a few different characters to knit: chickens, bunnies and mice. As is was Easter I stuck with the traditional bunnies and chickens. It is a free pattern and if you would like that pattern, click here, and enjoy. I wrapped each of them up in cello and added three chocolate eggs. They have gone to work and been divided out to the office staff.
As everyone knows, I have been trying to clear out my cupboards and use up what I have stashed for years. You will be happy to know I have done just that. Some of the eyes on the animals are just the black googly eyes, but I found some eyes with pink instead of black. Then I ran out of eyes altogether and used black beads.
You will love to know that these tiny little things are finger puppets! The pattern says to push the eggs up inside the rabbit. I did that to test how it would go and because it is still very warm where I live, it wasn't a great idea.

The chocolate started to melt and it looked like the rabbit didn't make it to the toilet!!! That's why I put the eggs on the outside of the finger puppet.

I have finished the last of the baby knitting and also made two beanies. I might still knit some more toys to put in the library, I know I'm a maniac when it comes to knitting.
My boys have all just come home and I'm sure to be pounced on in a minute. Better go put the kettle on and enjoy the news.

I hope everyone has a lovely time at Easter. Enjoy your family, the relaxation and hopefully get some craft done!!! Kind regards, Anita.
