Friday Night with Friends

Friday Night with Friends
Hooray! I made it in time to join the gals and Friday Night with Friends. Last night I made more progress on the mini quilt I am making and caught up on some fun stitching. I decided to add ric rac to the top and bottom of the quilt and of course, I always love the buttons. These are the fun buttons I added to the top....

Just love these buttons.....
And also the cute buttons on the bottom row. I hope to do some more of this project over the weekend.

...Got more buttons than Heather....lol
Another finish is this super cool baby blanket for little Jaxon. I just had to take a close up shot of how simple the pattern is, and knitted up very quickly as it is knitted in 8 ply.

This is a free pattern available on Ravelry.

Special delivery soon!!!
Now that the blanket is finished, I have made a start on the jumpers for my tribe of nieces and nephews for this coming winter. Not that anyone around these parts are even thinking anything about warmth...it is still so hot her. Oh.....perhaps they are thinking how soon they would like the winter to come!! Lol
I knew I wouldn’t be able to wait long to get my fingers tucked into that bag of donated wool. These colours are all from the bag of goodies. I am pretty fond of the speckled cream.

These yarns are 8 ply and so nice to knit with.

I’m off to visit the other talented gals in the Friday Night with Friends group, they always are working on very cool stuff. Many thanks to Cheryll who organises this special night for us.
Be happy!

Cheers, Anita.

Love the ric rac and the buttons. So gorgeous.
And the knitted blanket is delightful and such a simple pattern. I have put that one in my bookmarks.
Yes,I have to plan some knitting of winter woolies for little ones, too.
Can't believe how quickly this term is going by!

Did someone say 'buttons'?? I am a sucker for them!
Lovely knitting there Anita, as always.
I have tried to be a knitter, but alas it is not to be... so I am donating my stash of yarn to a local group so they can use it rather than it sitting here unloved! x
