When I count my blessings
πI count you twice π
Well, hello there!!!!! I’ve been a little bit busy making baby booties for our market
supplies. Heather the feather and I had a real shock when we went through our box of
baby booties and discovered we were extremely low in them.
So here is my little stash…...
To be very honest, the last couple of weeks have been busy on all fronts!!!
How many times does this happen to you....your weekend is all planned out,
usually overloaded already and suddenly something comes along and pushes
you to the limit? π I said yes to someone giving away bricks. I realised later
that my husband had the vehicle with the tow ball and the trailer at home
was full.
My friends, Chris and Neville come to the rescue with their big farm truck and
the day is saved. Turns out a trailer wouldn't have been able to tow all the bricks,
so the truck was a life saver. The total of bricks were almost 200. These are the
bricks pictured below near the trailer that would never have been able to bring
them home.
Here is another pretty little poncho creation of mine. I'm thrilled to bits with how this
little piece came together. I love mixing all my leftover yarns together and making
something special and eye catching.
How amazing is this crochet edge? I have made it before however, I'm not sure what
the stitch is called. They look like little bobbles and add such a pretty touch to the
poncho.
Oh and here is Miss Poppy being naughty. My husband is on the other side of the door
doing his shoulder exercises, so Poppy decided to go around the other side to see what
is going on. She can't help herself but to investigate.
Another friend of mine will be moving away soon. Lovely Hetty(Pictured left with the
fish lips π) who is one of my instructors for exercising. Hetty was my instructor many
many years ago when I first joined the gym. I am happy for her because she will be
moving closer to her son but sad she will not be around here anymore. Beautiful Anna
(behind me) will also be moving on.
So my year of friends moving on continues and it feels strange. It is part of life and it is
a lesson for me. I have always appreciated my friends and the lesson is to continue to
always make friends so you have an endless supply of them. They are precious. All this
has made me wonder as I grow older....how easy will it be to find friends?
In the meantime, I am going to continue to enjoy myself, the friends I have and to keep
loving my crafts. I hope you are all going well and I send my love to everyone in Italy
who are in lock down.
Ciao, Anita.
