And the New year rolls in.....
Well hello there everyone!!! Look who's finally made an appearance once again in blogland 👀😂. I have been missing for quite some time and for very good reason. My husband has had a shoulder operation and it's kept me way too busy for really do much. Things are getting easier now and I'm happy about that.
I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and New Year 💖 and I expect many of us are happy to leave 2020 behind.
I have been busy making little baby items to replenish our stock for the markets. At the Christmas markets Heather and I basically sold out of almost every gift item we had made (which of course is amazing).
Some of my projects...........
Crocheting some neutral toned baby items as requested from our customers.
Super excited to try out this cotton yarn from Spotlight!!! It was really nice to use and just look how pretty the little top looks. I chose a simple crochet pattern because I thought the colours were going to make this top look cute.
I made the top several times. Yes....we've run out of mittens and booties as well. So here's a start on the new stock.
Now on to a project that isn't doing much for me in the way of excitement. 😐 A request for Mickey and Minnie mouse. They will be going to a couple of little babies so that is a nice feeling. I think I am wanting to start the next order so much more than I wanted to make Mickey and Minnie.
The Garden 🌷🍋
Surprisingly the garden is holding up well to our high 30 - 40C weather we've been having. The wonderful thing is that I am on holidays from work and I have been able to water the garden more and also spray the bushes for the bird life.
My first olives taking a peek at the world and the lemons are making an appearance for the second season. The lemons are multiplying in numbers.
💪 Train the trainer 💪
One of my favourite times of the year is in December when the gym crew get to pay back our instructors for all the punishment they've dealt out to us. As you all know my sense of humour is crazy and out of control, so with the train the trainer...comes the costumes.
This year we endured Kosta calling us "a pack of clowns" 😂😂, so it was easy to think of the theme for their costume. I made a costume each for Tom and Kosta, even down to personalizing the tops and ties with their names and a special message on the back of Kosta's top.
Below are some photos of my special crowd of people. These people have been my friends, my encouragement and support in my journey to better health. For my Italian friends the back of this top translates to Who is the clown now.
Kosta has been such an important person in my life...an instructor, a teacher, a friend, a son. I cannot thank him enough for all the knowledge and support he has given me over these many years. Kosta will be leaving to shift way up north of the state.
We also got to torture young Tom as he is our other instructor for Fit45 classes. While the instructors had to dress up, so did we. All dress up clothing came from my dress up box from home.My group of Fit45 friends sadly have to look for new ways to exercise as the gym we attend will no longer hold intense exercising and cardio. Many of us had been a family for many years coming to this gym so it will be an interesting journey for us all. There is no other gym in town. 😢 Though this is sad news, the journey is not over, so I will keep you posted.
Now this will brighten you up.....how confident is Miss Poppy becoming? She decided that she might like to see what I was eating. Such a little sticky beak.
Well my friends, I will have to go now as I can feel the rumbling in my stomach for food. I send you all good wishes and let's all go out and get ourselves a great 2021! 💞
Ciao, Anita.
