Good morning precious people! A lovely Sunday to you all. After a busy day yesterday at the markets, a good night sleep and a strong coffee this morning…..I’m charged and ready for this beautiful day. The weather was pretty hot yesterday down at the markets and our energy was really zapped, and just to dig the heels in…..it was a very quiet market. It did give Heather the feather and I some much needed catch up time though, so it was a success after all. Lol The Monster truck event was also on the same day which makes a big impact on how the crowds attend.

As promised, I share a photo of the bench I scored for a low cost. This will be another addition to my Italian themed garden that is an on going project. It was very heavy to lift and comes apart in three pieces. My two sons helped me collect it from a property just out of town. At the moment it is near my sewing shed until I clear away an area in its forever home.

Though my week has been full of action and wonderful things it seems that as far as my craftwork goes, it was a little ‘bitsy and here and there’ type of week. I started making a cloth doll and she’s very pretty. I painted her shoes and left it to dry but somehow I managed to get paint on her leg. So now she’s just sitting there not quite finished. I’m slapping myself!!!! lol

Ho hum….finished the beanie finally, but no flowers made yet.

…..still going on this beanie…….

Oh yes….one bootie made (no ends sewn in)

Well after all that tragedy I do have some consolation…..I have these beautiful plants that I purchased at the markets yesterday. Of course as I’m on a roll with not finishing anything….they haven’t been planted yet. lol

We’re all still laughing about being scary fairies at school. Here I am with Scary fairy Debbie. We had a blast.

….and scary fairy Louise.

From the last post that I did a couple of you asked me how I managed to keep those big glasses on and I will show you. See how the arms go in really small here and they extend out once they are near the frame of the glasses. It was no trouble keeping them on at all. Such fun!!!

I’m wearing the smile you gave me.

Thank you all for sharing a little piece of my Sunday.
Ciao, Anita.

Love your new plant purchases Anita :-) Regarding the paint on dollies leg ... you could either stripe the leg by gluing some braid on in a stripey effect with craft glue (rather like a raggedy anne doll) ... or you could just crochet some teeny tiny flowers from crochet cotton & sew these randomly on her legs to look like tights. I would try either of these perhaps. Or you could paint all her legs in the purple & then paint black boots on her.

What a fabulous bench... Poor Miss Dolly, she spitted paint on herself...
Good you did get some crocheting done.
Fantastic plants....

Your bench will be a lovely addition to the garden.
Shame about the market though. I thought being so close to Christmas it would have been busy.
Suggestions for the doll - Make new legs only - or paint up to her knees and turn them into boots - or put lace at the top of long boots. Good luck there.
The plants are looking lovely from the market. and hope you get all those projects finished.
Enjoy your week.

I love those "scary faeries"! Bet the kidoes do too.

That bench is ADORABLE - I love it. A really neat score.

I am so pleased to see that you and Miss Feather got to cook up some mischief! How great was that! Inspirational for both of you.

You are not the only one with "unfinished" flowers. My daughter brought home 3 bucket fulls and left them for "when-ever". I cannot stand to see a flower in need after not being able to afford them most of my life , so I have worked hard to stick them everywhere I can find.

Your garden is turning into such a beautiful sanctuary.

I don't know about you being a scary fairy, but if you say so, I'll believe you. Love that bench. It is the perfect addition to your Italian garden.
