A new untraditional idea.

All streams run to the sea, but the sea is not full: to the place where the streams flow, they
continue to flow.
-Ecclesiastes 1:7

One whisper in my ear from a child, and I have been given an interesting idea to try......funky  Christmas puddings!
 They look fun hey?

While I sit with the kids at lunch time and knit, I come away in stitches and giggles at some of the funny things they say and their carry ons. I enjoy their company so much. Just recently I was showing the group my knitting project which was a traditional Christmas pudding.....brown and white. One of the kids said I should make one in lime green....LIME GREEN! After going into a silent conniption and melt down, I got myself together and thought...well why not? Have a try....and I did. What a super idea.

This week I have been thinking about Christmas and have made a start on a secret gift. This is the time of year when the stitching and stitcheries start. I’m trying hard to put the knitting needles and crochet hooks down but it’s been difficult.....and it hasn’t really happened for me. Lol. Here is a sneak peak of some stitchery .....

Had to use the leftover ball of yarn to make a cute head band and flower.

A knitted Santa for our tree. I found the idea on Pinterest. I love Pinterest, so does Heather..ha ha.

Oh and this week I came across an interesting crochet stitch...also via Pinterest. If you want to have a go at the pattern click here. This will take you straight to the website. It's fun to crochet.

Yesterday Heather and I flew off on our broomsticks to the historical town of York to check out the Craft Fair. It was a beauty!!! There were so many different types of crafts to choose from. With Christmas gifts on my mind I had to purchase this cute little gift wrapped soap for a special girl.

Oh......oops!.....I found this for me. Bit of cute bling to wear on my wrist. Very cool.
This coming week will see me concentrating on getting Christmas together in the way of really getting stuck into handmade Christmas gifts for my family and close friends. It is always a fun time of year for us and making gifts is the best fun for me.
What are you up to this week? Whatever it is be happy and have a terrific time.

Cheers, Anita.

Those Christmas puddings are such fun, as is the knitted Santa hanging on your tree. He is looking a bit lonely...you will have to knit some more. Love your pretty blue stitching!

I really need to get on with Christmas preparations though I'm not really in the Christmas mood just yet. No doubt it will just be a Christmas panic.
